Welcome to Westcroft Garden

I'm Lyn, my garden has been described as a "Wilderness Paradise",
come and see for yourself!

I was the long term chairman, now president of Four Villages Horticultural Society (meeting in Newton Tony) and a keen Hardy Plant Society, Cottage Garden Society and Plant Heritage member.

Being a galanthophile (snowdrop nut!) I also belong to various snowdrop groups and especially love to welcome people to my garden at snowdrop time.

I enjoy raising plants and giving gardening talks, although my horticultural training is non-existent, (I did pass A-level Botany many years ago!) my knowledge comes from years of practical experience. Now I just tend to propagate my snowdrops… and give talks on snowdrops!

SNOWDROP GARDEN OPEN IN THE SUMMER!!

Karen Robertson and I are going to open our gardens in Boscombe Village, nr Salisbury Wiltshire on 30th & 31st May as a POP-UP for the NGS, between 11 am and 4pm.

My own garden, Westcroft (SP4 0AB) is primarily a snowdrop garden but it looks pretty good in a wild way through the summer months as well, Karen lives in the same village at Cottage in the Trees (SP4 0AD) and has a wonderful cottage garden, full of gems. She will be moving soon, so this could be the last chance to visit hers. Parking will be in my field opposite the house and in the farmyard at Karen's.

We both usually charge £4 each but are doing combined admission for £6. We will both offer scrummy teas, under cover here at Westcroft (if necessary) and both will have plants for sale….but there will be more at Karen’s.

Please can you tell your gardening friends about the openings (as we are not in either the Yellow Book or the county booklets)

Westcroft only will also be open on Thursdays 18th June, 25th June, 2nd July and 9th July 11am - 4pm Tea’s, etc. ADMISSION £4

PS you can book online through the NGS website….FOR 30TH AND 31ST MAY. or else it is PAY BY CASH on the day for entry and any purchases you may wish to make.
